Guthix's Anniversary
by L33tQuest aka Chris Miller

The World Wakes was a huge quest in March 2013, and then we all gave tribute to Guthix for his faith in our player characters for change for Gielinor. He had faith we would make the right decisions for the future of the land and would use
our gift as the World Guardian to ensure the safety of all living things on it.

Sirapyro

This month marks the anniversary of many other game changing things about Runescape. The HTML5 beta began, dungeoneering got dual wielding and the charming imp reward, castle wars got updated, duel arena improved, some evolution of combat reworks that were needed, instanced God Wars Dungeons, charm sprite updates, and small xp additions were added as well. However, Guthix's butterflies all over Gielinor was probably the most memorable to everyone.

People all over Gielinor donating rune essence for the tribute stone north of Falador, prominently displayed on the cover, was an example of the new kind of power we as players were going to have over the future of the game in months to come.

We have seen more power and influence since then for examples: Battle of Lumbridge, the Death of Chivalry, Missing, Presumed Death, The Bird and the Beast. It just shows how we really are the World Guardian of the Sixth Age that began with Guthix's Death.

The landscape of the world keeps on changing as we even begin seeing more of to come with a new catalyst of a quest this month: Fate of the Gods. I won't go into detail, but it just shows how big the things to come really will become as we get more and more interactive content like we have been receiving. We should remember what power we as players have been given by Guthix as the World Guardian despite our factional beliefs and strive towards what we believe will be the best for Gielinor and the game in the end. He knew we may make mistakes, but knew we will try to correct them for that is the way of balance.

Interview with Hemsky
April 2014 002.png

Santa: Does your display name have any meaning behind it?

When I was a freshman in highschool (9th grade) I picked up lacrosse as my sport. All of the seniors that year were pretty cool and everyone liked me for some reason and they decided to give all the freshmen a nickname. They said I looked like a hockey player named Ales Hemsky (think that's how you spell his first name) and they called me Hemsky for the next 2-3 years. So when I came back to rs that was my current nickname, and I'm pretty much the opposite of creative... so yep.

How's the place you live at like?

New Jersey is pretty boring. It's cold, snowy, and there isn't much to do. That's home home, but now I live at school, in Clemson, South Carolina. It's beautiful here, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It's a nice little college town, beautiful campus, and I live with 2 of my best friends (gonna be 11 us next year).

Wolfie:

What made you pick the rsn "Hemsky"? (idk I like name stories)

See Santa's question above!

What are your hobbies?

I love playing sports, I love watching sports, and I love hanging out with my friends outside. Last year when we still had our fraternity house on campus we had a porch with a beautiful view of campus. I used to walk over there and hang out all day every day. That's pretty much my hobby.

Favorite film/book/song/video game?

I haven't really read a book I thoroughly enjoyed in a while. Song is way too hard to choose because my taste in music changes every hour. My favorite movie is probably End of Watch. It was pretty sweet. Also the most recent video game I've been a big fan of was The Last of Us, but I'm gonna say Legend of Zelda games forever hold 1st place in my heart.

What got you into rs?

Back in like 5th grade me and all my friends would go on miniclip.com every day during computer class to play games, and one day rs made the front page. So I've pretty much played intermittently since then.

Who is your favorite Mahjarrat and why?

I think Azzandra is the man. I haven't done FoTG yet but I think he's gonna be a total badass, and he's really the only Mahjarrat that I really liked who wasn't a total pushover, nor a straight up bad guy.

Do you follow a (Runescape)God, if so which and why?

Guthix was my favorite, then Bandos. Guthix always preached balance which was ideal, but then Bandos became my favorite during the second world event. He preached survival of the fittest (or strongest), but quite contrary to what most people think about it, he wasn't just for mindless violence. I thought it was cool that when you talked to him during the world event, he basically said he'd be cool with dying because it meant he wasn't fit for power. He practiced what he preached unlike most other gods.

What is your favorite questline and why?

It might sound corny and obvious, but I thought all the stories tying into (and ending) with The World Wakes were awesome. I wish I had waited until I understood everything that was going on in TWW. Single questline though, probably the TzHaar, because for some reason those little rocks touched my heart. The feels.

If you had to date a female Runescape npc who would it be and why?

I honestly don't even know any female NPC's off the top of my head, haha. Sorry, Wolfie.

If you are a fan of Harry Potter what house would you say you belong to?

Harry Potter wasn't my thing. I just never got into it.

What was your most difficult quest choice and what did you pick?

Ahhhh this is tough, but I'd say in One of a Kind. That was the first time I remember actually sitting there for 5-10 mins reading through EVERY line of dialogue (several times) to make the best decision. I chose to send him back to the dragon riders, because I don't trust that dragonkin guy.

MsK:

I think you have been in this clan since day one. What are your earliest memories of the clanfolk?

I remember a lot of stuff. I remember people like Kitty, Sinistral, Mackin', Cros and plenty of others who used to be active, and the people I talked to the most (excluding all you old noobs who still play). We've always been a cool group of people, and it's just a new generation of awesomeness.

How did you first get the nicname "Hamskittle" ?

That's all you weirdos ( 1- icon biggrin.png ) manipulating Hemsky into whatever floats your boat that day. Seriously though, if it involves the word hem or anything close to it, I've been called it.

When you took time off from playing RS, what brought you back to the game?

I finished finals last year like 3 days early, and after a very long night ended up on rs to see if any of my old friends still played, and if CQ was alive. Turns out, you folks were alive and kickin' and several people I was looking for were on (lookin' at you MsK). The next day I was bored as heck in my room by myself so I came on again and I've just been playin' since.

What holds your interest the most now? EOC? PVM? Warbands? Clanmates?

I do like EOC and PVM although I'm not great at it. I've been pretty combat oriented though since I got my quest cape. I gave up on warbands when they started killing me because I forgot to turn my pm off (which really isn't that hard) and just haven't gotten into it since.

Favorite combat method? Melee, Range or Mage?

I use Melee alot now because I have 99 Magic, but when it comes time to fight a boss, especially in quests, magic is the go to.

Anything you want to tell us about yourself, or share with the rest of us?

Nothing especially. I feel most of you guys know me pretty well, and if you don't will by the end of this. 1- icon biggrin.png

Oh, of course a rl picture would be great, if you could.

It's on its way! I'm in pink/white in the middle.

Rei:

What are your current goals in RS, do you think you'll ever achieve them?

Short term : Get 75 divination for this quest, haha.
Long term: Beat Chap to maxed combat!

What's your favourite movie?

I think End of Watch is my favorite, but any good action/comedy movies will do the trick for me.

Do you like Canadians?

My friend Danny is from Cleveland, that's in Canada right? Danny's alright.

Alaska:

How are you doing?

Stressed! Last month of school, but at the same time couldn't be better.

Is there a place in the world you'd like to wake up in one day?

I'd like to go to Germany or Italy someday. Waking up there would be pretty cool.

Do you have any siblings?

Yep, I have two little brothers. One's 17, one's 10.

What's your best method for dealing with stress/bad moods?

Oh man. Usually I let my stress out on the weekends by blowing off schoolwork and doing whatever I want. Bad moods usually don't last long though, so I don't really deal with them too often.

What's your ideal day?

At this point, and ideal day is a day that I don't have to deal with math homework. I love where I'm at and what I'm doing now, but math is miserable.

Favourite childhood memory?

Probably all the time I spent outside during the summer with my neighbors. I really wish I was still friends with some of them, and that I could spend that much time being active again.

Karen:

If you were a girl for an entire day(yes, 24 hours) , what would you do? And why?

I'd flaunt my stuff around campus to see if girls really mean it when they say they hate guys checking them out.

Cireon:

You are one of the oldest members of Clan Quest.

Indeed.

What do you think is the biggest difference between Clan Quest now and Clan Quest "back then"?

I'd honestly say the biggest difference is that a much smaller percentage of us had quest capes. That's probably the main one. Also you'd never come into the cc and not get a hi from all your friends.

Do you miss "ye olde days"? What do you think is missing now that was there before?

Do I miss it? No. Not especially. I miss the people but I like new faces every week and getting to make new friends.

What do you miss most from Runescape in your early days of playing?

I miss when the little things would make me happy. A rune longsword drop, finding 5k on the ground. Now I leave all that stuff on the ground, haha.

What do you like about Runescape nowadays most that wasn't there before?

Combat is MUCH more entertaining. Now I can boss and stuff so doing higher level combat is awesome, and EOC makes it a lot more fun in my opinion.

What is your opinion on the current direction Runescape is heading?

I think they're going in the right direction. Graphics are getting cooler and cooler, quests are more and more involved. I like it a lot.

If you had to do one quest in real life, which one would it be?

If I get to respawn in Edgeville, RotM all day. It was sooooo cool and evading giant fireballs in a jungle, slaying mahjarrat and giant ice creatures. FINDING THE STONE OF JAS AGAIN! It would be awesome.

LizBeth:

Hey, Hemsky! How's life been treating you, lately?

Life is pretty good. Spring break was relaxing and I'm back to school for another month and a half.

What's your favorite color?

Orange/White/Purple

How do you spend your spare time, besides playing RS?

I spend a lot of time on the weekends with my friends. Sometimes playing sports, sometimes watching sports, sometimes doing nothing at all.

What is your major in college? I've noticed that you were often mentioning Calculus in cc.

Right now I'm an engineering student, hoping to get into bioengineering, but I'll probably end up in industrial.

Do you like Math? How about Science? Between the two which one do you favor more?

Math is okay if it means anything. Science is awesome. Biology and Chemistry are fun and really interest me. Physics.... not so much.

Out-of-the-blue question: If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?

Depends on the week! Most of the time we'd be best friends but at the end of every semester I'd probably kill them.

Kyra:

Heya Hemski.

Hey man.

Do you play other games next to RS?

Nope, not computer games. I do stuff on my xbox and playstation though.

Are you a busy man IRL?

I'm a college boy. Other than that not too busy.

What made you to who you are? 2- icon smile.gif

Probably a combination of my family and pledging a fraternity. The first influencing who I am, the second making me mature and teaching me how to be a better man.

Ork:

What is love (to you)?

Love is being able to be yourself about everything and anything. Being able to get past any sort of fight because you know it's not worth it, and being able to lay around and do/say nothing and still have the best day of your life.

Nicole:

What is your ideal perfect breakfast?

OMG eggs benedict. Bomb.

What makes you do a double take?

Getting a good grade on a math test.

Who would you want to be on a deserted island with you? Imagine you and this other person were the only 2 people left on Earth.

Oh wow. One of them survival experts who can help me live for years. Orrrrrr someone I can fall in love with.

What are you most excited for in the year 2014?

FINISHING CALC 2 FOREVER. Getting my sophomore year over with so I can move on, and get into my core classes. Having another year with great friends, and appreciating every minute of it.

If you are in a relationship, what was the first move you ever made? Now ask your significant what they thought was your first move. It's funny how one person thinks they made a move while the other didn't realize that was a move.

The first move I ever made was when I started to tell my girlfriend that I thought she was pretty a billion times a day because it annoyed her and made her blush. She thinks the first move was when I accidentally text her I love her in a text goodnight instead of my mom. She still doesn't believe that was a mistake. Agreed, she thought I was just being annoying because I knew she'd be awkward about it.

If you are not in a relationship, what would your first move be, ideal date?

I think I went about things pretty appropriately.

Most treasured memorabilia or photo?

I have a bracelet that I wear every day for one of my friends. I haven't taken it off since June of 2012.

What makes you smile in the morning? Who makes you smile when you think about them?

Knowing that after classes I'm going to have a great day makes me smile. I'm livin' the dream. A lot of people make me smile every day when I think about them; my mom, my girlfriend, my brother(s), and many more.

Boricua:

Hemskyy whats been going on?

Hey bud, long time no see. Just doing my thing, living the college life.

You still CQ's scapegoat?

Sometimes.... Yeah I'd say so.

Can I touch dis?

My name hasn't been MC Hemsky in a long time haha. But no, absolutely not.

What's the one think that's been keeping you in CQ all these years?

I have no reason to leave. It's always a great group of people, and they always welcome me back like I never left.

Aprendiste español ya? (Me prometiste :3)

Google tells me that that's asking me to learn Spanish. I used to know some, but I remember none of it. I'd give it another shot when I had the free time.

(He's the one at the centre)

Hem, it's been a pleasure to interview you and I got to know you better, hopefully you have enough time in college to achieve your max combat. It's great to see a fellow clannie so enthusiastic about new combat systems and making new friends everyday, your positivity is really admirable and it's been a pleasure interviewing you.

Before it's too late
by Wise Ork

Before it's too late

I have to tell her
What I feel and
What I always felt

Before it's too late
I have to conquer
Fear and emotions;
Distance and time

Before it's too late
I want to share her smile;
To hold her close
And dream

Before it's too late...
Perhaps it already is
He came and whispered
She smiled and dreamed

Before it's too late...
Perhaps it already is
He abused her trust and
broke her heart

Before it's too late...
Perhaps it already is
She has lost her wings
And falls asleep... Crying

It's almost too late...
I comfort her
And wipe away her tears
She is not alone

It's almost too late...
Time goes by and
She builds her walls
But I'm still here

It's almost too late...
She smiles at me
Leans closer
And kisses my lips... It never was too late

HOW IS OUR NEW RECRUITMENT METHOD WORKING?
by Konnan
Some Facts and Figures for the first two weeks
*********************************

Miss Alaska wrote on the Rune Scape Official Forums (RSOF-T8)

All that planning for the new recruitment system has paid off. I'm seeing a lot of new members in the chat, most of them fitting in nicely. It's great having some fresh faces.

The new recruitment forum was opened on March 9/14, by The Draziw, after much discussion and input from many clan members. Some rules and ranks of the clan were changed. It was all condensed into one opening page. If you have not yet had a look at our nice new forum:
Quick find code: 289-290-213-65294965

Here are the Statistics for the first two weeks:
New Recruits to clan: 40 people have found their way into the clan, 29 through the RSOF and 11 by joining our clan chat.

Full Members: 18 of the 40 are now full members.

Still Recruits: 17 of the 40 are still recruit ranked.

10 did not post applications on T8, and
7 are still in their first week and will soon be ranked.

Drop Outs:

3 did not follow through after applying to get ranked in clan chat,
and 2 quit the clan to join another.

*****************

The new system is working very well, and that is mostly due to the efforts of the Recruitment Razzers Group, headed by LizBeth. There are only four active recruiters for the clan. We have one very, very active recruiter, Nicole Angel, who has posted on almost 300 threads in the 'Looking for a Clan" forum! We all owe her a big thank you for keeping such a positive attitude and staying around to help make Clan Quest the 'owners of that RuneScape official forum'!

For the first few days, when rules were changed to allow people to be invited just by asking in our clan chat, there was half a dozen new recruits added. They never did post an application, so will not be promoted to full membership. Abandoning the sponsorship rules has made it easier for new people to join. That was a good rule change. By far the majority of new people are finding their way into the clan because of the recruiting we are doing on the forums.

At present we still need more recruiters. If you can post on the RSOF good. If you do not have time to do that, keep on planting your Vex, talking to people in game when you are skilling with them, and getting the word out about Clan Quest to the many new people still trying to earn their Quest Capes.

~!~ JUST A SILLY NEWFIE JOKE ~!~
by Konnan
***********************

April 2014 004.png

A Newfie is visiting Texas and starts a conversation with a Texan at a local bar.

The Texan asks the Newfie where he's from and the Newfie says, "You know where New York is?"

The Texan says, "Yeh, yeh, I know where that is"

The Newfie says, "Well baye, you just drives north of there about 6 hours, turns right for 3 hours
and catches a 6 hour ferry and you're there in Newfoundland."

The Texan says "That's got to be close to China!"
The Newfie thinks about this and then says, "By gosh, I think you might be right. I work
with a Chinese guy and he goes home for lunch every day!"

I thought this was funny because I have visited St. John, Nfld. and gone to 'Cape Spear'. There is a sign post showing you are closer to Russia than to Vancouver Island, BC. You can face East and turn your back on all of North and South America. Check it out on the map 2- icon smile.gif

~!~ March Lore Analysis ~!~
by Wolfie
***********

A ton of lore came out in March! Two epic Grandmaster quests from two of the three different main pillar storylines! The Dragonkin and Gods! And the third main pillar storyline, the Mahjarrat, got a miniquest with FIFTEEN LORE BOOKS! I mean.... the content that has come out in this month is a literal lorestorm trifecta! I'll be covering the stuff that went on in broad strokes in an effort to quickly summarize the key details and point out a few interesting thoughts/conspiracy theories I have along the way. I'll cover them in order of release for simplicity's sake.

April 2014 019.png
One of a Kind

We meet several key characters for the first time in person in this quest! Namely Kerapac the creator of nearly every dragon on Gielinor including the mighty Queen Black Dragon as well as Hannibus the last surviving Dragon Rider! We also encounter the Ilujanka (of which Hannibus is a member), White Dragon, and Celestial Dragon races for the first time! There are also several amazing locations we explore from secret Dragonkin laboratories which give us insight into both the Dragonkin language and their breeding program, Robert the Strong's secret lorebrary which has a wealth of knowledge that will likely be further explored in the future, the White Dragon's hidden base in a resource dungeon, and Kerapac's Daemonheim base. Truly a fantastic quest which added a lot to the game.

This quest provided us with a lot of information about how existing species of Dragon came to be formed as well as hints at a new creature Kerapac might be working on in his laboratory from the various pieces of things he had lying around to study and experiment on. We also learn a lot more about the Dragon Riders and their homeworld. Some insight is even given as to the Dragonkin's curse and how it might be lifted.

The quest ends with an important choice that could potentially effect two species continued existence. Should Hannibus go home or not? Thinking it over to give this choice either means regardless of what we pick the result will be the same either Hannibus can't help or Kerapac gets his research materials one way or the other, or this choice will literally save or end potentially two species. I seriously doubt Jagex would let us decide the fate of both the Ilujanka and Dragonkin with one choice so casually so that means no matter what we pick either Hannibus helps or he doesn't. In the course of the quest it is revealed that Dragonkin can travel between worlds, and when we conveniently crash at Kerapac's doorstep it is a fireball that brings us down. Given that we a riding a dragon at the time, and a white dragon resistant to magic at that, it seems like that must be one heck of a fireball. In the OOAK faq thread on the forums in response to a claim that the fireball looked oddly Dragonkin in nature Mod Raven said that it was "Strisath, definitely Strisath" jokingly. That pretty much 100% confirms we landed near Kerapac by his design. Which means he needed us. But did he need just us? He also wanted to use Hannibus' Ilujanka dna to experiment on a possible cure for both races. Given the fact that Kerapac needs us to willingly help him to repress the curse on the Dragonkin it is likely he would give us the illusion of making a choice about Hannibus and simply go get him later so he can stay on our good side and get what he wants.

If that is true then sending him home means Kerapac would follow him and attack his innocent, almost extinct people. That would really be heartbreaking. Not to mention Hannibus if sent home even if he wasn't Janka-napped later would still have to watch his people die out and see how far their numbers have declined. This was a very hard choice and it looks like no matter what is picked Hannibus doesn't get a happy ending but perhaps keeping him with Kerapac will do more good than harm.

Speaking of more good than harm Saradomin is at it again. Evidently this time he threw a statue warning about the misuse of the Stone of Jas into some water to prevent the warning from being given for some reason. Why is left a mystery. This certainly seems to be very harmful action yet surely Saradomin must have at least some kind of reasoning behind it. Saradomin always acts in a way he believes is good even if he is just wrong or misguided or overlooking something very important. He doesn't commit harmful senseless vandalism just because. So I'm assuming his reasoning here will become very important in the future.

April 2014 020.png
Mahjarrat Memories

15 books! FIFTEEN BOOKS! Just wow. These books contain information from everything about Mahjarrat to Gods to Freneskae to Demons and their hierarchies. A lot is covered here from Tumeken's defense of the desert to Sliske putting on sick twisted plays. Zaros is shown as smart enough to trick the demons and build a thriving civilization with many technical advances. Just trying to condense 15 books is overwhelming!

Akthanakos's memory - Provides information about Zaros' empire and the God Loarnab. I've deduced Loarnab was probably at least tier 4 on the Godhood scale because he was enslaved to create portals to other worlds and only tier 4 gods can create portals.

Azzanadra's memory - He confesses to totally bsing hearing from Zaros at first and just making up stuff that was helpful and boosted moral.

Bilrach's memory - Contains important information about the Mahjarrat on Freneskae as well as the corruption of Amascut.

Enakhra's memory - Detailed account of Zamorak and his ability to manipulate heavily biased by her fangirling.

Hazeel's memory - Mostly a rant about the different ways beings eat.

Jhallan's memory - An explanation of how rankings worked in the Zarosian empire.

Kharshai's memory - A description of Tumeken's final act which knocked him out for several thousand years.

Lamistard's memory - Information about Zamorak's activities post ascension yet prior to his return to Gielinor.

Lucien's memory - Information regarding the truth of Zaros' curse and Zamorak's ascension.

Mizzarch's memory - Details about the Zarosian empire and the technological advancements it made.

Palkeera's memory - Clarification about the Infernal dimensions.

Ralvash's memory - Sliske is a sick sick puppy.

Sliske's memory - Details of the Demon Pact.

Wahisietel's memory - Information about Mother Mah and the different rituals of Freneskae.

Zemouregal's memory - Describes the events following Zamorak's ascension.

The most important information seems to be about Freneskae and the different activities going on there, as well as hinting at something interesting and unexpected causing "Zaros'" curse on those that aided in his downfall. Also Infernus and the species on it, namely the Chthonians, Infernals, and the Avernic aka Demons and how their society worked and was reformed by both Zaros and later Zamorak. So much lore was released in one swoop here it is really hard to decide which bits are the juiciest so I strongly suggest doing this miniquest.

April 2014 021.png
Fate of the Gods

The quest itself is very simple and straightforward however an incredible amount of lore is present via talking to npcs in the quest and memories. Zaros himself talks about his entire history from his birth until present day. On top of that the history of the entire current known universe is covered in this quest in broad strokes.

Freneskae is the last created universe of the old cycle. The Elder Gods create worlds until they create a world capable of producing strong enough Anima Mundi to nourish them during The Great Revision when they are born again or their eggs hatch and they feed on the Anima Mundi drinking the planet dry. Thus the Elder Gods power is in the order of their hatching and if they are unable to create a strong enough Anima Mundi by the time they must rest then those that feed after it has been emptied have nothing to live on and die or suffer deformities and lack of memories. This was the case with Mah in the last cycle. The Elder Gods are:

Jas: Elder God of Progression, creator of the Elder Stone more commonly known as the Stone of Jas. Her form is sand as she is the sands of time. She is the firstborn and thus strongest in terms of power. Jas is shown in the center as one of the 3 Elder Gods that created Gielinor in the motion comic. Jas slumbers in the area of the Ullek Cliffs.

Ful: Elder God of Constancy, creator of the Elder Kiln. Her form is fire, and lava. The TokHaar are her creations. She is the second born and thus second in terms of power. Ful is shown on the left as one of the 3 Elder Gods that created Gielinor in the motion comic. Ful Slumbers in the area of the Karamja Volcano.

Bik: Elder God of Alteration. Her form is that of a living forest. Second youngest and second weakest of the Elder Gods. Bik is shown on the right as one of the 3 Elder Gods that created Gielinor in the motion comic. Bik slumbers in the area of Entrana.

Wen: Elder God of Reversion. Her form is Ice. She is the third born and thus in the middle in terms of power. Wen slumbers in the area of Ice Mountain. While it is at this time not believed she aided in the creation of Gielinor it is possible she simply came to the planet later to slumber.

Mah: The Freneskae Creator-God is an Elder God who is mentioned by the Mahjarrat. She is supposedly evil. This deity is said to have combined his most fearsome creatures into the Muspah, but the truth is she was simply dreaming and unable to control her power and these creatures came into existence from her nightmares. Ali the Wise describes her as "cruel and archaic" but he never actually met her and is judging her based on her inability to control her own power. The other Elder Gods left her behind believing her stillborn. In addition to the Muspah she also created Zaros, Seren, the Mahjarrat, the Mahserrat, and the Chelon-Mah. She was the last born of the Elder Gods and the weakest. As a result of this lack of energy she seems to have none of the memories other Elder Gods are born with.

The Elder Gods are born from The Elder Halls a nest of sorts they build for their eggs with a rift in it so that after hatching the Elder Gods can drink in the planet's Anima Mundi. Freneskae being the last planet in the previous cycle means it has one Elder Hall and Gielinor being the last planet in the current cycle means it has one as well. Freneskae at one point supported enough life to feed almost 5 Elder Gods but draining the Anima Mundi turned it into a barren wasteland. Mah being left behind though allowed her to repopulate it some with very fierce creatures. While Mah was left behind the other 4 Elder Gods drank from the rest of the planets in the previous cycle destroying them all as they went along until only the last planet, Freneskae was left. Then they started the process again. That means Freneskae is the furthest end in the universe and Gielinor is the furthest end on the opposite side.

Seren and Zaros were created on Freneskae by Mah. She created them just to keep her company and they are both crystalline beings. Even the beings she created after Zaros had fled were based on crystals but were imperfect and only a small portion of them were made of crystal. This greatly interests me as the Kharid-Ib is crystal and literally means "Heart of the Sun". I suspect that the reason Icthlarin was able to find the Mahjarrat was because he knew where to look because Tumeken the sun God probably came from there being partially made of Gem himself. Considering what a massive energy gap it is from creating two Tier 2 Gods to the Mahjarrat which don't even fall on the Godhood scale it makes sense that perhaps before the Mahjarrat another attempt was made which resulted in Tumeken and Elidinis who later gave birth to Icthlarin and Amascut who knew nothing of their origins. Then when Tumeken blew himself up it destroyed the non-crystal parts of himself. That is just my theory though and has not been confirmed, although it tracks nicely with a previous theory I had that Tumeken was a Mahjarrat.

Back to the Elder Gods it is mentioned that this world doesn't have long implying The Great Revision is about to begin again. Which is really bad juju for... well everything alive except Elder Gods. The Fremennik afterlife is to prepare for an epic battle known as "The End of Things" and it seems likely this being the literal end of things that is what is being referred to. If the dead can fight in this battle as they are part of the Anima Mundi then what kind of monstrosity is this going to be? The living and dead fight side by side and the living die and rejoin the fight as the dead? Or if an Elder God kills you do they absorb you or something and make that kind of thing impossible? Either way if the dead can fight that means everything that has died since the creation of this universe will participate in the fight(except perhaps things like the Mahjarrat whose energy is scattered/absorbed by others when they die)... that is going to be one CRAZY fight.

Gielinor has its own Elder Hall as previously mentioned and Zaros is now looking for it in an attempt to rouse the Elder Gods and try to reason with them. My guess for our Elder Halls would be Daemonheim. Bilrach was digging for something and it was something so powerful it created a tear in the fabric of reality. Daemonheim is the deepest structure on Gielinor and the previous Elder Hall was housed in the planet core perhaps for unimpeded access to the planet's Anima Mundi so the location seems to track. Additionally Bilrach's death was felt throughout the planet which would make sense if he was foolish enough to try draining the energy for the entire planet that was meant to sustain 4 Elder Gods. Not only would he certainly explode horribly but it would also be reasonable the ripple could be felt throughout the planet as that energy is literally the soul of the planet. This hasn't been confirmed and is just my own theory.

Much more was covered in this epic quest including the reasoning behind the Mahjarrat's mating and sacrificing rituals and mention of the other species native to Freneskae including the nightmare creature Muspahs, Mahserrat, and Chelon-Mah.

This was an amazing month for lore and I can't encourage you enough to participate in the content released this past month! I hope you enjoyed my summary and theories. Now get Scaping!
